Tucked away on a side street in Downtown Lexington is Vine Brook Tavern, a modern-day tavern that’s redefined the term. For example, you don’t normally think of lobster tacos and tavern in the same sentence, but here you have it. Chef Chris Frothingham cooks up the lobster meat, finishes it off in a bit of butter and Rainwater Madeira, then touches it up with pepitas and black bean crèma - all cradled in a flour tortilla.They come in threes and you may or may not want to share ($14; 781-863-2012).
