| Barbara Lynch is hosting her first annual Blizzard Bash tonight, Friday, February 8. |
It should be quite a party: participating chefs include Susan Spicer, Bayona, New Orleans; John Santer, Prizefighter, San Francisco; Mike Ryan, Sable Kitchen & Bar, Chicago; Will Gilson, Puritan & Co., Cambridge; Jamie Bissonnette, Toro, Coppa, Boston; and Daniel Boulud, Daniel, New York City. In all, more than 30 chefs, along with highly regarded winemakers, brew masters and bartenders will be dishing out fine food and pouring fine beverages for a one-of-a-kind culinary extravaganza.
VIP tickets are sold out, but general admission tickets ($225 per person) are still available (7:30-10:30 PM; click here for tickets).
Proceeds go toward the Barbara Lynch Foundation, which is dedicated to helping Boston’s urban communities create healthy and inspired futures for its youth by providing mentorship to build life skills, improving access to nutritious foods, and empowering families.

Actually, I believe they sent out the postponement notice shortly after this article was published. The Blizzard Bash is tomorrow night, though they're still going ahead with the "The Industry Thing" event tonight... don't want all those chef's sitting around with nothing to do, after all. :)
