WeHo's The Hudson Reopens Tonight With New Look, Cocktails

The boys over at The Hudson, that oblong restaurant tucked into a triangular corner at Crescent Heights and Santa Monica Boulevard, closed down for a few weeks at the end of the year for a little nip and tuck. It only opened in 2009, but Beau Laughlin, Brett Cranston and Mike Jay decided it was time for a redo; three years as a busy WeHo hot spot will do that to you. Some new elements: they had the roof lifted near the bar (is that equivalent to a brow lift?), exposing the original A-frame and wood beams, there's new upholstery throughout, custom-built communal tables made of reclaimed wood, lighting, and a spruced up exterior.

The food offerings haven't changed much, but the cocktails also get a lift from rockstar bartendress Mia Sarazen, who's been working on the bar program for the sister restaurant, The Churchill. You can now sip on things like The Bombshell (Akvinta vodka, strawberry puree, agave, lemon) and the HOF (Fighting Cock bourbon, bitters, sugar), among others. Bonus: For the grand reopening tonight, get half-price on these and all cocktails all night long (1114 N. Crescent Heights; 323-654-6686).
