Weekend Planner: Live Jazz, Chocolate and Sushi

Starting tonight, Thursday, lasting through Saturday, you can hear live jazz at Aragosta on the Waterfront. This evening music will be playing from 6-9 PM, a perfect time to settle in after work and enjoy. On Friday and Saturday the Lance Houston Jazz Quartet and The Peter Smith Trio take you away while you nibble away on the likes of prosciutto flatbread with fig jam and sip a hot chocolate martini (menu items à la carte, no cover; 617-994-9001).

Kick off your new year right with an MFA First Fridays date, where you can go listen to live music in the gorgeous surrounding of the Museum of Fine Arts, sip drinks and nibble on good eats - bring a date or go single, you never know who you might meet (6-9:30 PM; 21+ event; cash bar; click here for more information; 617-267-9300).

We’ve told you about it before, but it’s worth repeating - check out Café Fleuri’s Chocolate Bar in the Langham Boston on Saturdays if you're looking for a way to indulge. There you'll find all-you-can-eat savory and sweet deliciousness including a chocolate buffet, cocoa-infused cocktails and of course regular desserts (11 AM-3 PM; $40 for adults, $28 for kids; 617-451-1900, ext. 7125).

On Sunday head to Back Bay's Uni for a four-course meal accompanied by a sake bomb - a warm glass of sake dropped into a glass of Sapporo beer. Each Sunday the menu changes (also available on Tuesdays; dinner service; $35 per person; 617-536-7200).
