Txoko Reopens as Naked Lunch Pub & Grill

Despite the name and red-light district in address, Naked Lunch Pub & Grill, the spanking new reconcepted all-day/late-night pub from is not a clothing-optional joint but rather newest incarnation of North Beach's once legendary Enrico’s and more recently the short-lived Txoko which closed after New Years Eve. 30 Under 30-chef Ian Begg and partner Ryan Maxey have essentially expanded their adjacent to-go lunchtime Naked Lunch business into the larger space where they continue to crank out the same high-end sandwiches and snacks along with new dishes such as a burger with fries; the formal dining room remains the same (with the same whimsical Jeremy Fish dancing pigs mural and long communal tables), but the duo have added new pool tables and TVs, and most importantly, a bar program that includes draft beer, wine and classic cocktails, thus living up to its “pub” moniker.

Naked Lunch Pub & Grill opened today for regular service (11:30 AM- ”late”), but will be hosting a special opening night party tonight with $2 PBR and $4 draft beers starting at 4 PM, with DJ Jon Blunck from the Sweaterfunk nightclub spinning old-school funk later in the evening. (504 Broadway, 415-577-4951; note the kitchen is closed between 2- 5PM).
