St John Chinatown Comes Out of Administration

It was a sad day last October when St John Chinatown entered administration less than a year after it opened. The hotel and restaurant - part of Trevor Gulliver and chef Fergus Henderson's St John group - had just received a Michelin star.

The good news today is that the business has been sold and is out of administration. Big Hospitality has confirmed that the hotel and restaurant was sold to Unlisted Collection - the boutique hotel company behind the Town Hall Hotel and Nuno Mendes' restaurant Viajante. Founder and managing director Loh Lik Peng said the space will relaunch in the spring with details set to be finalised between both parties. In the meantime it is business as usual.
