If chefs are celebrities, then the legendary Paul Kahan is one of Chicago's biggest (a slightly older Matt Damon, perhaps?). He's the man behind a slew of top-rated area hot spots, like Avec, Big Star, Blackbird, The Publican and the newest addition to the empire, Publican Quality Meats, a part butcher market, part gourmet restaurant that's renown for its fresh-baked bread and house-cured charcuterie. On Tuesday, January 29, the MasterCard Priceless Chicago program is partnering up with Kahan to deliver a truly priceless experience – and foodies will want to listen up: the chef himself will be preparing an exclusive after-hours dinner featuring PQM's famous charcuterie, carefully selected cheeses and impressive seafood tiers, plus some of The Publican's most celebrated dishes and wine pairings. This once-in-a-lifetime meal is open to 12 diners only, ensuring an intimate experience that you'll be talking about for years.
The evening, which is open to MasterCard holders, is $150 a person, and you can get more details (and guarantee your spot) here. And if you go, be sure to take lots of pictures to share with us (read: make us jealous.)
