Ready, Set, Chicago Restaurant Week!

Baume & Brix
The week that all restaurant staff dreads and makes diners droll is back with a fresh lineup of participants. Chicago Restaurant Week offers prix fixe lunch ($22) and dinner ($33/$44) menus from February 1 though 10. It’s an opportunity/excuse to check a few places of the foodie to-do list. Choose Chicago has a complete list of restaurants and many of the menus.

We recommend scanning the restaurants as well as their menus to find out which are offering the steals and which are phoning it in with roast chicken, fish or pasta. At first glance, Allium with its mix and match menu, Baume & Brix which includes their unbelievable tender short ribs, Sepia with an optional three or four-course dinner and Chicago q serving full racks of ribs. Which restaurant do you think offer the best bets and which are just phoning it in? Leave your selections in the comments

Have a difficult time making decision? Tickets to the Frist Bites Bash are on sale for $95. The event brings more than 50 restaurants together at Union Station. Sample dishes from Restaurant Week newcomers such as Carriage House and Dragon Ranch plus old favorites such as Piccolo Sogno and Table Fifty-Two. Chef Dirk Flanigan (Henri and The Gage) will host the evening that benefits Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
