Pub & Kitchen Chef to Leave, Chef Named for Fitler Dining Room

Hopefully the burgers at Pub & Kitchen will continue to shine
Big news in the Pub & Kitchen world today. At the end of the month, the popular Lombard Street tavern will close for a short renovation period, reopening in early February. Along with the design changes will be a huge shift in the kitchen - opening chef Jonathan Adams will step down to concentrate on Rival Bros. Coffee. No replacement has been named; instead, the current kitchen staff will work together to execute the menu of British-inspired pub fare.

Furthermore, Pub & Kitchen partners Dan Clark and Ed Hackett have decided on a chef and a name for their newest venture. Fitler Dining Room will open in the early part of this year at 22nd and Spruce, in the former Mémé space. Executive chef will be Rob Marzinsky, who worked with the group at both P&K and The Diving Horse in Avalon, NJ, and recently helped open much-lauded Stateside on East Passyunk.

Expect cuisine described as “American-bistro,” with dishes like porcini-poached chicken breast, potato gnocchi with Burgundy snails and butter-poached oysters with fennel chowder (poaching will be big, we gather). Wine and beer selections will be offered to complement the food.
