Oodles of Noodles at LA's Inaugural Noodle Bowl Fest

Angelenos certainly do love their noodles - here are the best shops according to Zagat surveyors - so it's a bit surprising this hasn't happened before: seven noodle experts will converge on the Viceroy for the inaugural Noodle Bowl Fest on February 10.

You'll slurp a slew of globally inspired bowls, including Din Tai Fung's beef noodle soup, Tsujita's tsukemen and Rodded's Thai duck soup. Chef Andre Guerrero (The Oinkster, Maximiliano) adds his Filipino chicken soup, David LeFevre (MB Post) is bringing brisket and oxtail pho, the Seoul Sausage guys will make Korean budae jigae, and host chef Tony DiSilva will make his own Korean noodles. The $45 ticket price covers food and booze, and proceeds go to My Friend's Place. [via Grub Street]
