La Mar Launches Ceviche Bar, Southern Brunch at Co-Op

Flatiron's La Mar just announced a new feature for ceviche lovers. The Peruvian eatery just announced a new interactive bar where diners can watch the seafood being prepared by a cebichero (kind of like the raw fish version of a mixologist?). A new menu for the ceviche bar features selections like the the cebiche fashion, a mix of lobster, shrimp and calamari noodles. That and a Pisco sour sounds like a plan to us (212-612-3388).

Down on the LES, chef James London is rolling out a new brunch menu at the Hotel on Rivington's Co-Op. London grew up in Charleston, South Carolina, so it's no surprise that his offerings are Southern-inspired. Expect dishes like fried chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits, along with endless Bloody Marys and Mimosas. Brunch is served on the weekends from noon to 3 PM (212-796-8040).
