It may be a ways off (the location has not been released yet), but come this fall, Menton alum Jason Doo will be opening up an ambitious new Chinese restaurant in Boston. According to Boston Magazine, Kinsai will feature a nightly chef's-table prix fixe hovering around 20 courses, complemented by "1930s-Shanghai-style craft cocktails and snacks." To give a sense of what might be on the menu, two earlier preview dinners documented by Tiny Urban Kitchen included staples like xiao long bao, scallion pancakes and har gow, along with more inventive dishes like cocoa nib and black sesame crackers, char siu roasted octopus with parsley and garlic vinaigrette, and snails with almond and yellow chive curry [via Eater].
