Jobs Report Contains Good News For Restaurant Biz

The December jobs report was released today by the Labor Department, and there was some good news tucked in there for the restaurant industry. The economy added 155,000 jobs total and the private sector added 168,000 in the last month. A big driver of that was folks going out to eat (and drink). From CNNMoney:

"The private sector continued to drive the growth, adding 168,000 jobs, while government employers shed 13,000 positions. Employment increased in health care, food services and drinking places and manufacturing. Construction jobs were also up, likely as a result of rebuilding efforts after Hurricane Sandy."

We're not sure exactly sure what a "drinking place" is, but when we go out tonight, we'll surely have another (for the economy).
