  1. We have been going to Maui for four years and would only put one of these on our list: the Haili maili General Store. Sansei sushi restaurant is terrific, with places in Kapalua and close to Wielea. And Star Noodle, an Asian fusion place, is great fun, reasonable and always delicious. It's in Lahaina.

    1. I agree. I was in Maui in September and had the best meal at Sansei & a great lunch at Star Noodle. My brothers have been to the others on your list and said that, except for the Haili Maili, they wouldn't go back.

    2. We would not return to Hali'imaile either. Very overpriced for just average menu selections. Not worth it.

  2. I have been going to Maui for the last 20 yrs. and my favorite restaurant is still Mama's Fish house in Paia. The food is delicious and the view is spectacular. But the fish tacos at Lelani's on the kaanapali beach at whalers village are amazing!! The ceviche at Mala's near Lahaina is another wonderful treat. I will be there in November for 2 wks and I assure you I will visit these three restaurants many times.

  3. lovely, lovely beach! Not too crowded ever, in the many times we have been there. Decent and well behaved visitors. Close to restaurants. Easy to walk in and enjoy the gentle waves
