GoldBar Unveils New Menu and Cocktails, Expanded Hours

For the past couple weeks, GoldBar in Little Italy has been revamping their food and beverage offerings, and the shiny-as-ever reboot is set to debut today. And by today, we don't mean in the post 11-PM world of NYC nightlife. The venue has new owners and they want the stylish joint to become a cocktail destination. Mixologist Tim Cooper has come up with a list of 20 original cocktails, in addition to bottled drinks that can be served to groups, and the booze will start pouring at the early hour of 6 PM.

Of course parties will still rage into the wee hours, but the new focus on the earlier portion of the night also includes a small-plates menu, which was prepared by chef Ulrich Sterling. Expect bites like lobster and corn fritters and mini sandwiches like a chicken parm, clearly paying homage to the neighborhood. The glittering decor remained largely the same, because can you do better than a sparkly skull motif? Didn't think so (389 Broome St.; 212-274-1568).
