Cochon 555 Will Have All-Female Lineup This Year

Marc Forgione, last year's winner
This year marks the fifth anniversary of the annual pork cook off Cochon 555, and the NYC version of the showdown will have a special twist this year: the competitors will all be females. Five chefs each have to cook five dishes using a whole heritage pig, and the victor will be off to Aspen to compete for national glory (and a "princess of pork" title) in the Food and Wine classic this June. So far, recent Iron Chef winner Alex Guarnaschelli, Missy Robbins and Heather Carlucci are set to square off on February 10 at the Chelsea Piers, and the organizers promise to announce the other two contenders by the end of the month.
