Cab Battle Continues Friday Night, Pizza-Making Saturday

Cabernet Sauvignon is showcased at Boston Harbor Hotel dinner Friday.
This Friday, check out the Boston Wine Festival’s Battle of the Cabernets popular event - so popular the Thursday night battle at the Boston Harbor Hotel is sold out, so they’ve added a second night. Some of Napa Valley’s top cabs are showcased (in a blind tasting) against chef Daniel Bruce’s perfect pairings. Saturday, bring the kids to learn how to create the perfect gourmet pizza - ideal timing for the New England Patriots and Ravens playoffs on Sunday (stay tuned, we’ll have some hot spots to watch the game). Head to Davio’s in Boston where chefs Rodney Murillo and Steve Brown will walk you through the steps of making your own dough and adding the yummy toppings (noon-1 PM; $50 per child ages 5-12; e-mail cooking@davios.com, and include name, phone number and number of participants.
