Añejo, a neighborhood gem in Hell's Kitchen that serves small plates of Mexican fare by former Top Chef contestant Angelo Sosa. There are numerous solid dishes on the menu. No matter what you order next, you have to start off with one of house guacamoles (the signature Añejo blend is $8 during happy hour). We also loved the spicy beef sopes and the margaritas (naturally), but our favorite dish had to be the fish tacos.
Simple but delicious, the seared tilapia was topped with avocado and a house sauce. Our only complaint was that we could have eaten a half dozen of them (easily), but the serving size of two was probably better. You know, with those resolutions and all.
