Bacon-Shell Burger Taco at PYT

Sitting down? The latest burger of the week to come out of Northern Liberties’ wackiest eatery combines three favorites into one. For the next seven days, PYT will be serving a bacon-shell burger taco. Let’s dissect this Gryphon-like creation: actual strips of bacon are woven together, molded into a taco shell and fried. Into the pork shell goes a taco-spiced beef patty, which is topped with shredded cheese, lettuce, pico de gallo and an avocado-cilantro ranch sauce.

The absurdist-but-tempting fusion dish will be limited to just 20 orders each day (as the bacon shells are quite difficult to construct), and will be doled out on a first come, first serve basis. If you’re a fan of bacon, burgers, tacos or all of the above, head out to the Piazza early to get your fix, before this mythical beast is nothing but legend ($11; 215-964-9009).
