Art and Soul will host Chefs Ball

Dig out your dancing shoes and get ready to have a ball. Inauguration Day is just a few weeks away, and you won’t need political connections to party. Societies and organizations representing a wide range of hobbies and interests are planning get-down events, ranging from a starry evening at the National Air and Space Museum to a dance at the historic Spanish Ballroom in Glen Echo Park. Check out this run-down of possibilities.

Foodies will not be left out in the cold. Chef/owner Art Smith will host a late-night Chef's Ball at his Capitol Hill Art and Soul, on Saturday, January 19, with the proceeds going to several charities. Top area toques Erik Bruner-Yang (Toki Underground), Scott Drewno (The Source), Todd Gray (Equinox) and Mike Isabella (Bandolero, Graffiato) will be preparing snacks that are included in the $75 ticket.  There will be a live band and an open bar - party begins at 11PM, VIP reception at 10:30 PM.
