3 Restaurants Weeks Coming Up: DC, Alexandria and Bethesda

Majestic's Restaurant Week menu includes Obama family favorites.

Forget about losing those extra pounds gained over the holidays. Winter restaurant weeks (yes weeks) are coming up soon, with multi-course menu bargains melting resolves. First up is Alexandria’s Restaurant Week, running from January 18-27. It's perfect timing for hosting inauguration visitors, since more than 50 restaurants will be serving $35, three-course dinners, or $35 dinners for two. Among them, the Majestic will be including selections from the First Family's menu for Michelle Obama's mother's birthday, including a classic Caesar salad, fried green tomatoes and its signature meatloaf.


The action shifts to Bethesda, where from January 24 to February 3, dozens of eateries will offer a prix fixe lunch for $16 and three-course dinner menus for $33. Check here for participants and details.

Then, from February 4-10, there will be dining deals at some 200 DC area establishments offering three-course lunches ($20.13) and dinners ($35.13). Do note that making early reservations should be part of the plan. And also, that wherever you go, you’re likely to find Australian lamb on the menu.
