Weekend Planner: December 20-23

Finished shopping? Here's what to do next.

Get into the spirit at the last Covent Garden Christmas Food Market of the season. You'll find mulled wine hut, specialist suppliers, handmade sweets, piping hot chocolate as well as decorations, a Lego advent calendar and more festive surprises.

Winter Wonderland is not just for kids. Gather a group of grown ups and go after dark to enjoy the bright lights, bratwurst and bars at The Famous Bavarian Village in Hyde Park.

Left everything to the last minute? Skip the supermarket and head to the Real Food Christmas Market at Southbank Centre instead. You'll find artisan chocolates and cheeses, Christmas cake, organic turkeys and sparkling wines, and shop directly from producers while sipping on a glass of mulled wine.

Missing the big freeze? For an authentic Russian Christmas, make a reservation at Mari Vanna. The Knightsbridge restaurant has transformed into a traditional Russian Winter Wonderland complete with Father Frost and his snow maidens. And making a change from turkey and Brussels sprouts, the festive menu includes salted herring, smoked salmon and beef stroganoff.
