The Rum Kitchen Brings a Bit of the Caribbean to Notting Hill

Dreaming of being on a beach this winter? If your funds won't stretch as far as winter sun holiday, head to Notting Hill instead where the sun is shining on The Rum Kitchen - a new Caribbean restaurant and rum cellar.

Sample traditional dishes from the West Indies like jerk chicken and curried goat as well as ackee and salt fish bruschetta and roasted cod marinated in coconut milk and scotch bonnet. Unsurprisingly the drinks menu is heavy on rum both straight-up and served as part of creative cocktails like the Rattle Skull Punch, made from rum punch, spices and fruit.

The casual space was designed by the people behind MeatLiquor, so expect a cool laid-back vibe. There is a resident DJ who promises to keep things lively with everything from reggae to calypso or Afro-funk.

It might be freezing outside, but drink enough rum and things are sure to warm up.
