The Best Thing We Ate This Weekend: Enfrijoladas at Honey's in Philly
We took our first-ever trip to Philly this weekend, which had us beside ourselves trying to decide where to eat from our epic list of must-try spots. Of all the meals we had, our favorite had to be the down-home comfort food grub at Honey's Sit n' Eat in Northern Liberties - a brunch mainstay in the trendy nabe. While waits during peak brunch times can span almost an hour, we were able to snag a seat after only five minutes and score a plate of enfrijoladas - flour tortillas filled with scrambled eggs and beans, topped with salsa verde, black bean puree, sour cream, queso fresco, red onions, radishes and mixed micro green salad - kind of a gussied up breakfast burrito if you will. The salsa verde was perfectly sour and spicy which foiled the fatty queso fresco, eggs and crema on top. Philly - we'll definitely be back for more...
