Kentucky Man Creates Controversy With Watermelon

When a man in Kentucky decided to decorate his property with a certain fruit, he claimed it wasn't because of racism. So why, then, did Danny Hafley of Casey County place some watermelon in the hands of the Obama-masked mannequin in his yard? Well, he was afraid the statue "might get hungry." In that case, how about a nice Krispy Kreme or perhaps a burger and fries? Further undermining Hafley's claims of good intentions is a neighbor's comment that the figure previously held a sign asking people to pray Obama wouldn't destroy America. Whatever his intentions, we're thinking this is one case of lawn art gone bad. [Lex 18 via Hypervocal]
