Though it might not be as big as Trader Joe's or Whole Foods, but Fairway followers are fiercely devoted to the fresh produce and low prices at the grocery store. The chain will open it's fourth Manhattan location this Friday - an outpost in Kip's Bay will join the already opened venues on the Upper East Side, Harlem and Upper West Side.
The new entry will open at 10 AM, and many of the staffers working at the market are from the Red Hook location of the chain, which was devastated by the hurricane. Not only did the chain find jobs at the other locations for displaced employees, it provides shuttle service so that workers can get to the stores while Red Hook is being repaired. If you want to head over to shop, the store will be located at 550 Second Avenue off 30th Street.
