Where To Watch the Election Returns (While Drinking) Tonight

Salon Hecho
There are lines all over town today but they aren't for burgers at Shake Shack. The 2008 presidential election goes down tonight, and those of us who aren't huddled in our apartments fearing an undesired outcome will hit bars and restaurants for viewing parties. Here are few haunts you can hit up to watch those results roll in (while drinking, thankfully):

Liberty Hall: The basement in the Ace Hotel will start showing results at 6 PM, with drink specials and a limited menu by The Breslin being offered at the bar.

The Rusty Knot: No doubt the folks at this West Side pseudo-dive will be slurping up the pickle backs as states are called for team red or blue. The party goes on a 6 PM, despite the fact that the bar was under 1.5 feet of water earlier this week post-Sandy.

Salon Hecho: The agave soaked bar in the East Village will project the results on a twelve-foot screen and feature a happy hour all night long with $7 margaritas and $5 micheladas.

The Vault at Pfaff's: If you want to sip fancy cocktails while you watch the results, head to this subterranean drink den in the West Village for specialty cocktails like the Red State and the Blue State or wines by the glass for $6 along with a menu of small plates. Party starts at 6 PM.
