What Does Evil Twin Have Brewing in Greenpoint?

Fans of all things Danish - well maybe excluding the breakfast pastry - may be in luck. Sources indicate that while an official location has yet to be confirmed, Greenpoint is expected to gain a new player in the world of craft beer courtesy of ex-Copenhager Jeppe Jarnit—Bjergsø.

The brew guru behind Evil Twin Brewing, Jarnit—Bjergsø can be described as a MacGuyver of microbrewing with offerings like his soft DK Imperial Stout, Even More Jesus and The Talented Mr. Orangutang.  They've managed to do all of this without a single permanent address -Evil Twin’s entire collection is manufactured in ten different breweries throughout the world including breweries in South Carolina and Holland; the operation does not yet have one location to call home. But maybe it's time to settle down in Brooklyn? After all, when the Duane Reade's have a place you can fill your growler, you know you've landed in beer paradise.

Sources told us that the beer maker was sniffing around Williamsburg for a new venture, but a Tweet from them confirms that something in Greenpoint is on the docket. We don't have details yet, but we hope Jeppe will team up with someone like Chef Dan Burns, formerly of Noma. They've collaborated in the past and he has been looking to open his own restaurant as well and is reportedly in Brooklyn. Get these two in a a room over a beer and maybe magic will happen!
