Watch What You Eat: Chicago Food Film Festival Finale at EL Ideas

French fries and ice cream will be served for the last time on Sunday
French fries and ice cream may sound like a 2 AM mistake or pregnancy craving, but actually it’s one of the signature dishes chef Phillip Foss created for EL Ideas. The dish was featured in a short film of the same name, and on Sunday night it will become extinct. Celebrate the last serving, and the conclusion of the Chicago Food Film Festival, with a private dinner for 20 hosted by Kitchit with Foss and the director of the festival, George Motz, also from the Travel Channel's "Burger Land." Tickets cost $165 which include an original menu created for the event and some face time with these foodie elite.

For those looking for an experience at a lower price point, the Food Film Festival kicks off tonight, and continues through the weekends with feature-length food porn accompanied edible offerings. Friday night’s screenings include Fish Fry Night Milwaukee with, of course, serving of friend fish in addition to Hoosier Mama pie. Saturday afternoon features an avocado takedown with 20 different avocado dishes to sample, while Saturday night is all about the whiskey. Individual session tickets cost between $45-$85 and all-inclusive passes cost $250.
