The Smith Lincoln Center Opening This Week WIth More Steaks, New Desserts

The area around Lincoln Center has a lot of restaurants, but since Josephina closed a while back there hasn't been an easy go-to option for drinks and a quick bite. Well, that should all change tomorrow when The Smith opens its third NYC branch. We noticed that the Midtown branch was mobbed during the post-Sandy period - the new locale plans to feature much of the same menu and will seat over 200 diners once the outdoor patio is up and running.

There will be some new options at this outpost. Look for an expanded selection of steaks including a porterhouse for two and a new dessert menu that moves away from a selection of ice cream sundaes in favor of treats like sticky toffee pudding and pineapple upside down cake. There's also a selection of drinks that are low in alcohol content and meant to be consumed before the theater. Well, we're not sure what opera those people will be sitting through, but we've never turned down a stiff one before the curtain. Dinner service starts tomorrow at 5:30 PM, and other meals will start soon (1900 Broadway).
