previously reported, Anthony Bourdain and Eric Ripert have partnered with chocolatier Christopher Curtin of Eclat Chocolates to release Good&Evil - an $18 chocolate bar made of Peruvian Nacional Cacao. Today we finally got to sample the pricey celebrity confection which came in fancy packaging containing quotes from Bourdain, Ripert and Curtin about its taste. Here's part of Bourdain's: "It needed nibs. It needed "evil," and here some Zagat staffers' unedited first responses:
James: Whoa...this is pungent.
Kelly: It's not bad.
Alex: What are these crunchy bits?
Jackie: It's got some fruity tones. PS what makes the cocoa nibs "evil?"
Justin: It's better than guinea pig on a stick.
(ten minutes later)
Alex: This is the best chocolate bar I've ever had.
Jackie: I feel weird.
James: It has a weird aftertaste.
You heard it here first, folks.
