Sushi Chef Arrested for Starting Restaurant Blaze

A sushi chef at midtown's 1066 Eno who was apparently storing gasoline in soy sauce containers has been arrested for started a blaze at the eatery on Friday night. Chef Fei Teng of Queens asked a dishwasher to carry the container of gas (which he was storing at the restaurant) through the kitchen to his car when it apparently spilled and ignited causing injury to a chef, a busboy and a female bystander. Was Teng's gasoline storage Sandy-related? The report doesn't reveal exactly why he was storing the gas at the restaurant but the restaurant will be closed for at least two weeks pending FDNY inspection. [City Room/NYT]
