The 1516 burger is described as having "minimal toppings" -- pickles, onions, tomato and lettuce, along with pepperjack cheese -- but the burger pictured only has what looks like bacon and blue cheese.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the restaurant provided a photo of the previous burger on the menu. Good catch!
DeleteMatt Zagorski's burger is easily the best burger I've ever had.
ReplyDeleteI always wanted a buger with foie gras on it. It sounds pretentious and not very good
ReplyDeleteI understand the scope of your listings...but for everyday great burgers "Five Guys" is a welcome addition to any neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteNo love for Manayunk. I guess it's not 1996 anymore.
ReplyDeleteTotally disagree about West Philly. Baby Blues BBQ's Willie Brown burger is phenomenal. Best burger I have had outside of the South.
ReplyDeleteSketchburger beats the pants off Memphis Taproom's burger any day.
ReplyDeleteSome people say I have a big mouth. That may be true but the pictured burgers would give me an awfully hard time. How about a thinner but wider version?
ReplyDeleteEla?? Please, and it's only available during happy hour and brunch, how pretentious, it's a friggin burger. Royal Tavern hands down has the best burger in QV and you can get it every minute they are open.
ReplyDeleteRoyal out of the top 10, that's hard to fathom!
ReplyDeletewhat happened to old city
ReplyDeleteNo burger I ever ordered at South Philly Tap Room looked even remotely like the one in the picture. And they don't do medium rare. Best burger hardly, best scam. For a great South Philly burger at an awesome bar, check out POPE.
ReplyDeleteThe Northeast is left out? Really? I think CC snobs need to realize the city extends beyond their back windows. If this were really a neighborhood review, it would feature the whole city. There are good burger places that aren't 5 guys in the area.
ReplyDeleteGRACE BURGER!!!! YUMMMM! Always perfectly cooked!
ReplyDeleteP.S. So glad to see Pub and Kitchen NOT mentioned. Their burgers are over-priced and consistently over-cooked.
No Royal Tavern burger!!???? Blasphemy!!!! Best burger in the city!
ReplyDeleteIf Royal tavern is not part of this list, I call complete shenanigans.
ReplyDeleteI'll take a CHARLIE'S burger over one of these snob burgers any day on the week.
ReplyDeleteI would like to also state that Royal Tavern not being in this list makes me see red and want to rage. I'm going to go have a burger of theirs now in protest.
