Openings: Bel Air Bar & Grill Is Back

Starting tomorrow, you can finally get a chopped salad, grilled steak and a side of mac and cheese at the Bel Air Bar & Grill, which has been closed for almost a two years. After a complete overhaul and expansion, the restaurant will debut for dinner on Friday night, and will begin weekday lunch service on Monday (Nov. 19). The attached Shack in the Back, more of a grab-and-go breakfast, coffee and lunch stop, opened earlier this week.

As you can see, the new two-level space, includes a swank new look throughout the two dining rooms, plus a dark and cozy bar and lounge, sunny terraces and glowing fireplaces, and a splashy new private room called the Sunset Room, which accommodates up to 90 guests and has views of the Getty Center across the 405. The menu sticks to American classics with a few new vegetarian and pescatrian options, like tagliatelle with mixed vegetables and baby tomatoes, bouillabaisse, and seared sea scallops with autumn squash. We foresee many martinis being shaken here. Again.
