Even though the Guinness Book of World Records tags New York City's Serendipity burger as the priciest in the world, Beverly Hills has its own over-the-top offering (natch) - the white truffle burger at Oliverio at the Avalon Hotel, which is almost twice as much as the NYC burger.

Chef Mirko Paderno tops a 12-ounce Kobe beef burger with truffle cheese and two ounces of white truffles, the ultra-luxe seasonal delicacy that's everywhere right now. This little snack will set you back $500. You have to order the Hamburger al Tartufo 48 hours in advance, and the reservations must be prepaid. It's no surprise, then, that we don't have a photo of the burger to show you. It's too expensive for food porn!
