Need a Pie for Thanksgiving? Let Boston Restos Do the Baking

What's in store for Thanksgiving - apple pie or something else?
Heads up to those hosting their own Thanksgiving Day meal at home: Do you still need dessert, perhaps a pie? How about one baked from one of Boston’s top area restaurants or bakeries? From now until November 17, you can order a pie from Pie in the Sky, a fund-raiser for Community Servings, and help a great cause.

Upwards of 150 Boston area restaurants - from the Ashmont Grill and Hamersely’s Bistro to Sofra Bakery & CafĂ© to Towne Stove & Spirits - are baking a variety of pies that will be fresh and waiting for you the day before Thanksgiving. Apple, pumpkin, pecan, sweet potato and even a sugar-free apple pie are on the menu. Pies are $25 apiece, or $75 for the commemorative 20th anniversary pie, which marks the number of years this event has been raising money for Community Servings, a Jamaica Plain-based nonprofit that delivers nutritious meals to acutely ill clients, their families and caregivers.

The anniversary pie comes beautifully wrapped with a special gift; you get a pie, and a pie goes to a Community Servings client. Order by calling 617-522-7777 or by clicking here. Pick it up on Wednesday, November 21 at various pickup locations. Click here for details.
