Minibar Reopens With a Svelte New Look

Minibar, Jose Andres’ avant garde, multicourse culinary adventure, has reopened in its new Penn Quarter home. New beverage-pairing options, including non-alcoholic concoctions, have been designed to accompany the more than 20 mind-bending dishes that comprise the theatrical dining experience. Equally eye-popping, the modernist setting is studded with playful, colorful, Gaudi-esque furnishings.

Guests gather in a reception area, before being invited into the stage-set dining space where they’re seated at two warm oak counters beneath “gold” domes. Blackboard walls and a corner fireplace help establish a relaxed atmosphere. After the progression of dishes, desserts and coffee, teas and liqueurs are served in the lounge and bar area.
