McGillin’s Olde Ale House has stood unscathed for hundreds of years in Philadelphia, but some of the staff with families and houses in Tom’s River were not so lucky. To help them and others who suffered damage during Hurricane Sandy, the Midtown Village tavern is devoting Thursday, November 15 to a Restore the Shore fund-raiser. All day long, 15% of proceeds from all food and drink sales will go to hurricane relief. Plus, because it’s Beaujolais Day, glasses of this year’s Beaujolais Nouveau will go for $4 and French onion soup will be half-price. Drink up and help others, win-win.
