The restaurant debuts that were delayed by Sandy are getting back on track. Today we have word that Francois Payard's new FP Pâtisserie is opening tonight after a slight delay. Payard is no stranger to the UES, Payard Pâtisserie and Bistro was a neighborhood mainstay for 12 years before it shuttered in 2009 due to a rent hike.
Well, he's back with a larger venue that is divided into three areas. There's a boutique where you can score some sweets (yes, three will be macarons), a bar with coffee, tea, beer and wine and a 32-seat tea salon that serves lunch, brunch and afternoon tea service on Saturdays (1293 Third Ave.; 212-717-5252)
