Keller, Patterson and Kinch to Represent SF at Alain Ducasse Anniversary Fete

Alain Ducasse’s grand food summit and soiree celebrating the 25th anniversary of his restaurant Louis XV slated to happen this weekend in Monaco is shaping up to be a foodie fantasia of epic proportions. According to Grub Street, the so-called “spiritual godfather” of Europe’s Next Gen chefs will be welcoming 240 celebrity chefs from 25 different countries (lovingly referred to as the “Ducasse Generation”) to the weekend party and cooking summit. And while Ducasse’s restaurant empire-which spans France, Paris, Las Vegas and Manhattan, has never opened a venue in San Francisco, several Bay Area chefs, celebrities in their own right, plan to make the pilgrimage to Monaco for the fete.

According to Grub Street San Francisco, David Kinch (Manresa), Daniel Patterson (Coi) and Hubert Keller (Fleur de Lys) will be joining California-based chefs Wolfgang Puck and Joachim Splichal along with NYC heavy hitters David Bouley, Joe Bastianich, Laurent Manrique and Michael White. Hey even David Chang made the guest list. For a sneak preview of the lavish affair, check out the video above (replete with soaring music and cooking footage) featuring Ducasse talking about the anniversary bash.
