| Abby Lane upstairs bar |
The two-level traditional American (did we hear that right? traditional?), which seats about 200, was renovated by Taniya Nayak (HGTV & Food Network designer, who also designed Santos’ Blue Inc.). Nayak transformed the old Dominic’s Restaurant space using backlit marble, barn wood and elegant light fixtures, creating a comfortable, casual atmosphere that’s meant to be family friendly. There are two full-service bars on both levels, with the second floor operating as more of a lounge.
Santos keeps the menu simple, too, with a spit-roasted half chicken, a lobster roll, pizzas, soups, sandwiches, burgers and more - a perfect please-all for the area. Prices range from $4 to $28, and a children’s menu is offered as well. The really good news? Abby Lane will be open daily, 11:30 AM-2 AM. The Facebook page is up, the website is “coming soon” and the telephone number works but no one “is home," yet (617-451-2229).
