Whipped Bakeshop. The Fishtown dessert house has been open in its retail location on Belgrade Street since 2009, and has been thriving ever since, thanks to Lukas’ sugar prowess, a team of talented workers (most of whom also hold art degrees) and a business plan from Zoë’s husband and co-owner, Brennan.
A case full of treats meets walk-in customers, complete with several types of cupcakes and the ultra-popular Sasquatch Brownie, along with coffee from local roaster ReAnimator. But it’s the catering side where Lukas’ artistic eye really shines, as she produces a steady stream of eye-catching cookies and cakes for custom events.
