Home Sweet Home Dessert Competition This Sunday

Get ready to chow down on desserts this Sunday at Home Sweet Home.

Dig dessert? Thought so. So do we. That’s why we highly recommend you head to Home Sweet Home this Sunday, November 11, at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge, where some of Boston’s top 20 pastry chefs and restaurants will compete to prove they have the best desserts.

The event benefits the Boston Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program, which provides clinical care and support to veterans and their families. Billy Costa of TV Diner will emcee the evening, where guests will enjoy a dinner buffet, live music by The Love of Dogs, a raffle and silent auction.

Blue Ginger, Harvest, Sofra Bakery & Café, Kickass Cupcakes and Finale are among the participating restaurants competing. Amy Traverso (senior lifestyle editor, Yankee Magazine), Jill Epstein (publisher, Where to Eat magazine), Andrew Rimas (editor, Improper Bostonian) and Jordan Rich (WBZ radio host, “Connoisseurs Corner”) will be the expert judges to determine “best in show," but you also get to judge, meaning you have the difficult task of trying all those desserts.
