The french invasion started last year when Maison Laduree brought their famous macarons to the Upper East Side, and today it continues with the opening of Le Palais des Thes, a new shop from the tea maker of the same name. There are already five locations of the international chain in Paris, with more locations in Ireland and Israel. The brand has been importing its unique blends for some time now. Like in the French stores, there will be a free glass of tea waiting for visitors, who can browse a tea wall that contains 83 varieties, which sales associates will help you navigate. Tea geeks can also stock up on gear, as designer pots, cups and candles will be available. A second location of the boutique will also open in a few weeks in SoHo (194 Columbus Ave.).
