First Christmas Menu at The Fat Duck Breaks the Bank

Chef Heston Blumenthal is shocking us once again, but this time it's not tampon palate cleansers - it's his Christmas menu at The Fat Duck in Bray. The award-winning restaurant has released the festive menu, which includes signature dishes like snail porridge and egg-and-bacon ice cream. Also on the set menu - available on December 2, 9 and 16 - is edible snow, a nitro-poached pine aperitif and savoury lollies like the salmon twister.

So far, so interesting, but the menu comes with a hefty price tag of £300 per person excluding alcohol and service charge. Really Heston, where's your Christmas spirit?
