A combo lounge and dining room decked out in muted tones of slate and with splashes of red give the place a minimalist rustic look. Altogether the place seats about 80 - close to a dozen seats at the bar and 70 seats in the dining room.
Going on Poe’s Georgian roots and Gburski’s East Coast Grill pedigree, the duo has created a menu of southern fare with a twist. Items include bacon hushpuppies with orange-chili honey and parsley butter; braised pork shank with Tasso ham-lemon relish and mashed sweet potatoes; and chocolate-peanut butter pie with fresh whipped cream for dessert. Entree prices range from $10.50 for po’boys to $22.50 for grilled jumbo white gulf shrimp, and perhaps a tad higher for market price fish. With rotating 30 beers on tap, 70-some bottle options and an eclectic wine list (no hard liquor), Estelle’s may easily turn into the go-to neighborhood haunt to kick back for a brew.
Estelle’s will serve dinner nightly, beginning at 5 PM; the bar will close at 2 AM.
