The lights are back on Downtown and the area's restaurants are rushing to reopen, with many of them promising dinner service tonight. Scott Conant's Italian eatery Scarpetta will open the bar at 4 PM and prepare dinner at 5:30. The menu will be limited, but reps for restaurant assure potential diners that "spaghetti will be available."

Andrew Carmellini has already reopened The Dutch and Locanda Verde, both of which were up and running with brunch service today at 10 AM. The Library at Public , a new eatery in the Public Theater with a menu from the chef, plans to open for dinner tonight at 5:30 PM.

AvroKO Hospitality Group's restaurants will be open this evening, and they are raising money for Governor, the recently opened gem in Dumbo that was one of the city's hardest hit eateries. All profits from Public and Saxon & Parole this weekend will be donated to help the restaurant recover. Additionally, Governor has started raising money online for their comeback - the campaign has already brought them over $13,000 and you can donate here.
