Dining Deals and Events: November 12-18

Holiday Spirits Bazaar

Monday, November 12

Got a case of the Mondays? We know how to fix that: with a magnum of wine. Midtown's STK hosts its weekly Magnum Monday party, which features music from DJs and special deals on he gigantic bottles. Even though Mondays are blue, it's probably not a good idea to drink that all by yourself (646-624-2455).

Tuesday, November 13

Brooklyn's The Bell Host plays host to a trivia-contest fundraiser hosted by NY1's Pat Kiernan. Tickets are $15 for the event, dubbed "Anything But Politics," and proceeds from ticket sales go to Sandy relief efforts. Doors open at 7 PM, get info and tickets here.

Wednesday, November 14

Gramercy restaurant Asellina has been working on a batch of house-made Limoncello for the past nine weeks, and tonight they start to pour the spirit in cocktails. This is drinking for a good cause, as a portion of the proceeds from every cocktail will go to hurricane relief.

Thursday, November 15

The meat purveyors DeBragga are hosting a series of multi-course beef-centered meals around town to showcase their wares, and tonight's feast is at Patroon. The five course meal features a Wagyu beef tasting and a 42-day-dry-aged ribeye. Wine pairings are included in the $175 dinner, which starts at 7 PM. Call 212-973-1022 for reservations.

Friday, November 16

Head way uptown for dinner tonight, because it's Savor the Bronx restaurant week. Establishments throughout the borough are offering special deals including fixed price menus and discounts. Tonight is the last night, see the participating restaurants here.

Saturday, November 17

Today is the third-annual Holiday Spirits Bazaar, a boozy shindig at Astor Center where you'll get to sample a ton of craft labels and pick up gifts for the spirits lover in your life. There are two tasting sessions, one in the afternoon and one in the evening, and tickets are $45. Get them here.

Sunday, November 18

Head over to the UWS to check out the Sunday Suppa deal at John Fraser's Dovetail, which features three courses for $48 or a chef's tasting for $82. If you go to bed happy after eating this meal, maybe you won't have to start next week with another magnum of wine (212-362-3800).
