Bourdain Brings His 'Guts & Glory' to Boston Symphony Hall

Anthony Bourdain in "Back to Beirut" episode of No Reservations
The celebrity chef, author extraordinaire and star of Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations (final episode November 5, by the way) comes to Boston Symphony Hall Friday, November 16. With “Guts and Glory: An Evening with Anthony Bourdain,” we can only assume he’ll leave the audience rapt (or offended) with his wit, reading from whatever he’s got on hand (Nasty Bits, Medium Raw) and giving us dining and cooking tips along the way. Tickets are still available but not cheap, anywhere from $55 to $200 online. Good luck (8 PM; click here for details and tickets)!

In case you're going, here are a few picks for nearby eateries: Brasserie Jo for French fare in a European-chic, efficient setting (Colonnade Hotel; 617-425-3240); the refined and zen-like Haru Sushi for Japanese (55 Huntington Ave.; 617-536-0770); 5 Napkin Burger for juicy burgers in a laid-back tavern (Prudential Center, 105 Huntington Ave.; 617-375-2277); and Parish Cafe in the South End for affordable gourmet sandwiches (493 Mass. Ave.; 617-391-0501).
