Best Thing We Ate This Week: Braised Halibut with Costal Herbs at Dabbous

By now you will have heard that the menu at Dabbous is the most understated in London. Dishes are given a humble write up on a sad-looking piece of paper leaving new diners to wonder what all the fuss is about. (They are currently taking bookings for July 2013.)

Not to worry, we figured it out as soon as the waiter announced that a dish simply described as 'Braised Halibut with Costal Herbs' was in fact a perfectly cooked piece of fish, sitting in a lemon verbena sauce with oyster leaf and sea aster and then garnished with celery and pink pickled garlic.
